Born 1959, 6th child of 7. Music interest started when my dad brought home a Danset play with a pile of 78 rpm’s. I would lay for hours listening to allsorts , Russ Conway, Winifred Atwell, and many many more, then my elder brother started listening to the Stones,Eric Burden, the Animals, Clapton(cream) Tangerine Dream and from that my music trail was started. To add to the mix he left a copy of HiFi Answers laying about, then my interest in hifi was born, since then it’s been along path trodden to get me where i am today. Some purchases have been mistakes but fortunately for me most have been positive, slowly over the years coming to my current system, comprising :- PS Audio Prefect Wave transport, Melco N1A, Devialet 400’s and a pair of Boenicke W8 speakers, all cabling are Chord cable Signature tune aray, Power is via a self installed 5kva balanced transform, (i am a qualified electrical engineer), all equipment sits on various TownShend Audio Seismic platforms / pods. I have just purchased the Perfect Wave, replacing my aged Meridian G08:2 cdp, and i’n loving it, the sound is glorious, no over hang, every thing starts and stops, decays as it should , i feel rather spoilt with what i have but then i put 45 years into working for it.
