Amazon Music HD

I’ll keep my subscription to the Amazon HD service until someone can figure out how to use it through the Bridge. I just got it running using a Windows laptop with the PSAudio USB driver connected to the USB input of the BHK Pre. It sounds alright but I get these intermittent clicks that should not be there.

The only ones who can make it work through the Bridge II are Conversdigital.

Or the JRiver folks:

I run it direct USB direct into my SGCD. No clicking or dropouts.

What is an SGCD?

SGCD must mean a Stellar Gain Cell Dac

I’ll give Amazon a try as soon as it is able to integrate with Aurender.

Is there a reason why the Amazon HD GUI looks very similar to Audirvana ? I’m no HTML Guru. But could the Amazon HD Music app be doing something similar to what Audirvana does to your PC (i.e are they licensing the Audirvana tech within their interface when the “App” is launched) ?

Again, I have no clue about his stuff.

Tried it and at least for the moment have cancelled it. Would prefer DSD or straight 24/192 PCM to Tidal’s MQA really, but via both Bluesound and the Amazon Win and IOS apps, IMO the UI is just not even close to fully-baked. The first thing I look for is a way to browse all offerings by genre… how the heck could they not have coded that? That said though I am definitely keeping my eye on it and given that they already have 10x the subscriber base that Tidal does, they may wipe out all the competition.

I see Qobuz in the US just dropped their Studio Premium subscription to $14.99/month. Thank you Amazon HD for the competitive nudge, I guess.

And I just bought a year of Tidal with 2 free months. Oh well! New car model syndrome.

last month i was planning to sign up for Qobuz annual subscription for the full year discount however the online salesperson recommended i stick with monthly plan for a bit - I found that odd at the time, but went with the advice. Glad I did.

Wow thanks for the tip! Isn’t competition great. Signed up for the 1 year plan. $150 for a year of all-you-can-listen music. It’s a steal. My gamble is that it will take a year before Amazon HD gets properly integrated in third party player software, if ever, or for Spotify to come out with high-res. I find Spotify still the best for playlist curation. They toyed with loss-less in the past, maybe Amazon will finally push them over.

I have both Tidal and Qobuz. I like the interface of Tidal better but, the sound quality of Qobuz better. If you have a student in your house, plug their email address in on Tidal and you get it for 9.99 a month instead of 19.99. I haven’t checked out Amazon just yet. Maybe after Mconnect has it or my lightining or Lumin has it but until then, I will stick with the 2 I currently use.

I’m in the camp that thinks Amazon’s sound quality is below that of Q and T.

I was enjoying Qobuz but have come back to TIDAL in Roon.

I also think Amazon’s SQ is below Qobuz and Tidal, with Qobuz being the best. I get Tidal @$10/month so will keep it as I think it helps find new music for me better than Qobuz.

I would expect Tidal to lower their monthly HD program to fall in line with both Qobuz and Amazon. Still waiting to see if we can get Amazon Music HD to stream on the Bridge II.

Ditto, I too am holding for a Amazon direct to Bridge-II streaming solution!

Hello.

It’s been TWO MONTHS! What is the solution to connecting Amazon Music HD to the Bridge II? Thanks.
