No Aurender?? Shame!
Wow, they really are rolling out on a lot of devices.
Okay, I very well may be proven incorrect on this.
Pretty sure BubbleUPnP and/or mConnectcontrolHD will offer updates delivering Amazon Music HD in their Cloud Setup lists
It works on the Mac Mini, no need for Aurender
As of 6:44am on 9/18/10, Amazon is using MP3. I just went on their web site into my AM account and checked, AM is still mp3. I doubt very seriously that Apple would issued them a license to use aac.
Does anyone know if the Amazon mobile app works (streams to) with upnp/dlna endpoints?
Iâm thinking about getting my Bluesound Node 2 out of the cupboard and hooking it up to the DSD so I can try Amazon HD.
So I tried this and it worked like a charmâŚalmost.
Two issues:
-
The Node 2, even with the latest software update seems restricted to 24/96 output. I tested this with several songs that were 24/192 on the Amazon app. It could be an Amazon issue, maybe theyâre not sending what they say theyâre sending to the Bluesound? They stream 24/192 perfectly via Qobuz/roon to my Network Bridge II
-
The Node 2, connected via coax, sounds really bad vs. the Network Bridge II - very narrow and constricted soundstage, less dynamics.
According to Chris as AS there should be a software upgrade for the Node 2 released late yesterday to deal with Amazon HD.
Yes, I did install that - still no 24/192.
Following on from this, a friend told me he saw a suggestion from Bluesound to reboot after the update from the diagnostics screen, so I just tried that and success - 24/192 now working.
Excellent. Now is there any difference in sound or catalog why one would prefer Amazon over Tidal or Qobuz ?
The difference for me is that itâs impossible to play Amazon thru my DSD via roon. Makes it less than Qobuz for me. I can play it via the Bluesound to the DSD but the SQ isnât there with that setup.
Does the Windows 10 application allow for UPnP output?
