I remember Luca was the first to report this issue on his BHK pre and provided this solution.
I was a happy owner of BHK pre, and luckily never had the noise issue. Aptos Ray Select tubes are the best new production tube and I still use them on my M1200. I like Telefunken NOS on M1200 better than BHK pre if anyone cares to know.
How easy do those boards come out? I’ve heard some of them are soldered in, so I don’t want to break anything.
The Apos Ray Select tubes are the best I’ve heard in the BHK Pre, tried a few New manufacture and NOS, these are the best imo.
This is good to hear. Im enjoying the Psvane Art series that came with my BHK Pre. I’ve also tried the Psvane Horizon tubes which are also good p, but provide a little less soundstage than the Art series.
I will give the Rays a try when it’s time for new tubes in a year or so.
