If you want to upgrade your Adcom GFA 5800, consider the BHK 250. This power amp has amazing musicality probably due to the tubed input stage. I was really impressed when I compared it to the Bryston 14-B SST which the Bryston sounded a bit dryer in comparison, and the Bryston is no slouch of an amp. There is a great deal on a refurbished unit from PS Audio right now.

But i was really leaning towards the endless watts of the M1200, as well as that light weight and cool running…

Would that life time expectancy also be valid for modern power regenerators given their similarities with power amps?
