If I were made to define, I’d say companies that have been around a long time and have survived although perhaps with some turmoil and difficulties along the way. Perhaps run conservatively and still basically making product the way they did 20 years ago.

I agree 100%. I bet everyone here does too. I like the points you make, myself I try to support small family owned business the best I can. Be it HiFi, boots, jeans or where I buy my tomato’s and meat. In some ways it feels harder than ever, in other ways it feels like there is more and more out to support every year.
