I hope that my reply will be useful, even though I only have the BHK preamp. I connect it to my NAD M23 power amp with 25-foot XLR cables from Benchmark Media Systems (makers of the highly-regarded AHB2 power amp).
They don’t have the 25-foot cables right now, but a pair of15-footers are available for $124, and 6-footers for $96.
I’m happy enough with their unbelievably low price and high performance that I haven’t compared them to any other cables.
I have run a full loom of those Benchmark Media Stage and Studio quadstar interconnects for years. They are well made and very reasonably priced for sure. But I hear a distinct sound to them. In my opinion it would be a stretch to refer to them as neutral. They are very open and resolving. Soundstage is a strong point. But they offer a smiley faced frequency response. Tipped up at both ends and slightly down in the upper bass. I find this sonic character more pronounced as the number used goes up. I found three of them a bit overbearing. Probably not the best match for my speakers that can be a bit bright. For the right system these can be just the ticket. Switching them for Silversmith Fidelium ICs was one of the best moves I’ve ever made at close to ten times the price.
