Haven’t been here in a while. I don’t care for Roon DSP in any way. I had the Serene for a few months before it died and they sent me a replacement which I promptly sold (for a small gain) and decided I preferred Roon → HQPe → NAA → May DAC. HQPe performs the volume control. I’ve been running this way for nearly 2 years without any sonic desire to change.
No one has a need for upsampling until you take just about anything up to DSD512 with Jussi’s advanced modulators and filters…then you can’t go back.
