Greetings. this is a bit off the topic but i am curious as to the experiences that you all have had with various tube resources. I am done with Upscale after too many issues and now am looking at Brent Jesse as a source, but would be open to any advice or suggestions. Like most of you here, I use the BHK preamp and the mono blocks. Thanks in advance.

Jim McShane is a good source for tubes, bought quite a few from him.

Whoa my psvane cv181-tii died 
so I put the Shuguang WE6SN7Plus in that I had on the shelf and was using before the cv’s, doesnt have the depth of bass, slam might be better term. but everything else is HOLY %$#@. huge sound stage, clearer and heaps of detail I’ve been listening the other for months practicality since i got them in feb have put well over 1000hrs on them. I’ve never heard this much detail. I’m laughing like a maniac right now.
just scored a pair of matched Siemens CCa tubes-Should place them in the pre or amp? One unit would have the Tele 6922 the other, the Siemens…
Pre. The Siemens color the sound less than the Teles. Better to keep the chain crystal for as far as possible.
in the pre now-Still haven’t changed the Org GL 6922s out of amp though
Get some Siemens 6DJ8s or 6922s for amps to complement the Ccas in the Pre.
I have some (noisy) Siemens 6922/E88CC now, that I can not use, however got a line on 2xpairs I am looking to buy. Otherwise I will keep my GL 6922 (I feel sound pretty pleasant to my ear)-or try Orange globe A frame 6dj8 and Amperex BB 6dj8

The preamp is the best place for the CCa’s. I have eight of the E88CC Siemens but I don’t use them in the Amps or Pre. They’re too polite for my taste.
Too Polite? what are you using in the amp? Are you selling those E88CC on Cam?
I have Phillips Miniwatt 7309’s in my BHK 300’s and the sounds is so good that I’m not tempted to switch them out. My Tubes aren’t on CAM but I guess that you know that I’m a Canuck. Let me look in my tube stash and check them. How many were you considering? I originally wanted them all around in all the BHK’s, Pre and Amps. But I decided that the Phillips were more to my ears.
Yeah, I saw you are in the GTA as am I. I asked bc there is someone selling them on CAM currently, they have 2x so thought it may have been you. He also has a set of the Phillips Miniwatt….SQ 7308 Bit on the pricier side though. I reached out earlier.
My username is the same on Canuck. Right now I only have cables that I’m selling. I have some more to add, when some Iconoclast Speaker cables arrive. COVID is messing up the postal speeds pretty badly, depending on where they’re being sent from. I just had a cable delivered to someone that was due on 5/20/20 and just got there today.
gotcha. Typically if I order from US, I’ll use my us address to pickup while back home working and bring stuff back up north. These days if I order from US, I make sure not to ship USPS to Canada Post, that is a bit of a sh** show. UPS has been ok, so long as you expedite.
If you want to try the Siemens let me know. I have a few that have the lettering rubbed off. Some of them have better lettering. If you’re looking to try a few out that would be reasonable I can help out. I’m in Richmond Hill. Locally the post is fast. It’s just international that things get messed up.
