Too often those with negative experiences provide feedback & the majority who have a positive experience remain quiet. I thought there was a recent posting on this but I couldn’t find it.I would like to thank Chris & especially Caleb for politely dealing with a sometimes cranky old guy on a sale & trade in. Their patience & assistance during the entire process is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
What a lovely note and this is so true! Not the cranky old guys (well, there’s something to say for all us cranky old guys
), but the fact that what gets published is the negative experiences, the “news”.
I remember some time ago there was some big upsetting/rioting/fighting going on in some city and all the news was afire with it—to the point I was afraid to go there but, as fate would have it, I had to go anyway. What I discovered surprised me. The fighting and craziness was in one small sector of the city—filled with news reporters and a few hundred angry people. The city itself—all 12 million of them-were going about their everyday business.
I think Chicken Little had a similar experience.
Thanks for posting that. It matters and it’s a healthy reminder that we rarely hear about the good stuff because that’s not “news”.
