Currently running Westlake BBSM4 studio monitors which are rated at 4 ohms needing 80 to 200 watts (@4 ohms) using my Naim Supernait 2. It was suggested to me to use the preamp of the Naim and use external amps for improved sound. Is the M700 overkill and a better match being the S300?
The M700’s are nice amps, and are not overkill.
You would not be “pushing” the M700’s, which is ok, as they run more “linear” when not being pushed hard, and sound better, plus you’ll have tons of available headroom, according to the one and only Paul.
