I told @jamesh I’d post a review of my new M700s, so here’s where things stand. First, let me say thanks to James for all of his help in my decision to get these instead of the S300, and in working with me on making it economically feasible. I didn’t think this purchase would be possible, and I’m gr…

Congratulations! I have purchased the M700s in 2018. They took 400 or so hours before sounding their best. Probably because AQ Water interconnects were new as well. I enjoy listening to music through them. In my experience, they sound better placed side by side (rather than stacked). Also, havi…

I have new Mackenzie XLRs connecting them to the SGCD, so perhaps there’s more to come. Unfortunately my listening room setup prohibits any physical arrangement other than a stack.

How am I ever going to forget Bruce’s album… :joy:

I’ve had my M700s and the Stellar GCD for 2 weeks. Gets better every day! I was prepared for big changes, and I got ‘em. I was not prepared for the sheer magnificence of the sound—the sound stage is bigger, wider, higher, deeper. Instruments no longer overlap. Details are amazing—strings sound like…

Very nice review, and thanks for posting it. I too bought the SGCD/M700 stack a year of so ago, and have been extremely pleased with it - extremely pleased. I’m driving a pair of Magnepan LRSes, and the M700s just seem like they were designed specifically for Maggies! I will soon be purchasing a…

Wow, what a nice review. Sets the bar for what all other reviews on the PSA Forums shall be judged! Seeing, or shall we say, hearing, how well the Class D ICE module M700’s drive the Maggies is encouraging to my current explorations. I have the M700’s at the top of my upgrade list, but I would ne…

Yup, we can’t be wrong going with the Stellar stacks, mine is GCD + NT 505 DAC + M700s driving the MA Gold 200 via Rocket 44 speaker cables. Really amazing sound now. Congrat your new stacks

[image] micko4472: I will soon be purchasing a new DAC - probably a Schiit Gungnir Multibit - and am looking forward to comparing it to the DAC in the SGCD . I’ll be very interested in your comparison of the DACs. I just this evening connected a coax cable from my Node 2i to the SGCD for the f…

[image] Craig_Burgess: I know, I’m failing again in my description, but I don’t know how else to explain it. There’s a motorcycling expression that goes, if I have to explain it you wouldn’t understand anyway. I think you did a masterful job of capturing the exact essence of something that t…
