Yes, that is right.
I love HQPlayer…but it is not for everyone. I get the best sound from my 2 channel system when I use an ultraRendu either as a Roon Endpoint or as an HQPlayer NAA. With the later being the best…for me and my setup.

Interestingly, I put on Coltrane’s Tunji (from John Coltrane Quartet’s album titled Coltrane) and switched between my previous two signal paths pictured in my posts above. The latter (i.e. “Signal Path: Lossless” per the suggestion above) DEFINITELY placed the cymbals on the left channel, the former (“Signal Path: Enhanced”) put the cymbals on the right! I decided to see what Qobuz sounded like with cans, taking out the roon part, and the cymbals were on the right. I think that tells me the most simple solution is somehow incorrect. Try it!
There is something wrong with your “simple” setup. No matter how I play that track through Roon, including the path I show above, the cymbals are always on the right.
Thanks for your help here and on roon support, speed-racer. I appear to have the channel reversal mistake I made sorted. I somehow had everything on the bottom of the matrix turned to on. That includes “reversal”, so the upsampling worked correctly, but not the lossless signal path I was trying to point out. Anyway…thanks again.

I completely forgot that I in fact already had this thing and felt that it did little to nothing. Luckily I was just able to borrow a friends. Realizing the same results. I cancelled my order. I think at this level of equipment all of this has already been addressed. That must be the answer for my hearing no sonic improvement. I do not doubt that it made a huge difference in a lot of systems. Especially when a PC is involved. I know of no one testing it with equipment at the level of mine. So I have no one to concur with. This is now the second time I have obtained such results. So I would figure it is steadfast. I think I have already obtained the best sound possible out of this system.

Why lock the thread? You didn’t start it and there is plenty of good information in it and people may have more questions or observations.
For example, my observation is that using the Matrix with I2S allows one to use the DirectsStream’s best sounding input. Regardless of what is used upstream, the I2S input sounds better to a lot of people. I have seen this in all of my experiments and that is what a lot of other people here have reported while using some high end equipment.

The thing is I am a “personality”. I really do not want people to know who I am. That is why I rarely take pictures of our residence ETC. The internet does afford a “buffer” of privacy. In some cases it actually has merit. I am certainly not some criminal in hiding what have you. I am just a well known figure. I wish to retain my privacy. I hope you can all be understanding of that. i am not being a jerk, this is actually true. how else do you think would afford such things? I am not selling crack. I assure you of that. doubt it if you wish. that is your prerogative. The bottom line is I cannot afford the collateral damage of putting my personal info in public hands. I am truly sorry about this. I have though mentioned my gear here many times, Just search. I just really do not want an “about me” page anywhere on the internet. It could easily give away who I am. I sincerely appreciate your understanding in this matter. I am trying to be nice and truthful because I really enjoy PS Audio and strongly believe in and back the company. In another forum I would not even go so far as to say all of this.

Or, maybe you are neither wealthy or well known, but wish to be both? Lacking the experience in the real world you have created an online persona to fulfill that fantasy?
I do know two billionaires and have dealt with quite a few Hollywood stars. When they don’t want to be noticed online, the last thing they do is make any reference to either their fame or wealth.
There’s something off about touting how “above all here” expensive your system is, and that you’re very well known, that you don’t sell crack, and wish to keep it all on the down low.
That’s simply not how wealthy famous people go about it when anonymity is the goal.
It’s also worth considering that I may not know any billionaires, nor have dealings with any Hollywood stars, but rather I made all of that up to provide a counterpoint and make myself look a little bit more cool 
We all have a face, that we hide away forever, and we take them out and show ourselves when everyone has gone.
