Sounds like you have a ground issue. Perhaps you have different ground on outlets. The matrix in my system does way better on LPS versus USB Power. There are many options in LPS. You might try plugging matrix common cicuit branh with amp pre amp and DAC. Or try linking ground between outlets to lose your hum You can do this with external cord. Or try floating a ground with a cheater plug.
All my stereo gear is connected to a BIT20. If there is ground loop it’s not from the power source. Everything connects directly to the BIT20 including the LPS used for the Matrix.
Perhaps LPS power cord is bad. I would swap cord with another or try another LPS to see if it has a noisy transformer. Or plug into wall away from P20
With so many different audiophile opinions, not just in this thread, but across the audiophile universe, have any scientific studies been done to examine the truth, or fiction, in the audiophile mindset? Why do blind trials seem so rare, not just on the forums, but in professional reviews?
I just wonder how much of what we hear is actually true. And how much is just our brains playing tricks?

I guess I could try another power cord. The one I have is 3ft and I think it’s good. Plugging the LPS into the wall and not the BIT20 would introduce a ground loop wouldn’t it?

It helps on a lot of gear, but not on all. It does nothing for an Aries G1. Your Lumin is probably very similar in quality.
I believe your CI Audio 7v is bad. If you really want to hear a really good improvement to your Matrix without any noise, try a Sbooster or an Uptone LPS 1.2.
Here is the Cisco switch that was RUINING MY LIFE! It is gone now, so too is the Ethernet cable that was connecting my EtherREGEN to my router. It has been replaced by a fiber optic cable.
So it’s Router, thing that turns Ethernet into fiber, fiber, EtherREGEN, B side Cat7 Inakustik Referenz .7m Ethernet cable.
It sounds swell. I will probably buy the $300 thing that turns Ethernet into Fiber and take one of my LPS 1.2 power supplies off the shelf to power it.
