pmotz saidThanks @pmotz33sbcglobal-net. I love the simple elegance of this table. It definitely has that magic for me. Too bad you're in Michigan or you could pop over for a listen! That is a beautiful table! Somewhat understated, but it has something a little different to please the eye. I’ll have to read the review just to tease myself. I’ve got a pretty good analog rig, but for me something is missing. Doesn’t have the vinyl magic that pulls so many into the sound. I need to do some reconfiguring of the system so it’s another opportunity to figure this out.
One thing I didn’t mention; this is Gold Note’s top of the line table. Actually they make statement tables upwards of $100,000 too, they just don’t advertise it. The point is, they have less expensive, but similar appearing, tables called the Giglio and the Pianosa, which are also beautiful. They are very similar except they have varying lesser thickness of the walnut plinth and thickness to the platter so their mass isn’t as high. All of their tables have good reviews. They also made the table for Bryston, which has garnered fantastic press. It’s actually on sale right now on Audioadvisor.com for $3k with Dynavector 20X cart. It’s normally $4k without cart! May be worth a listen.
