Hi i have a brand new Stellar Phono preamp
Opened and used straight out of the box yesterday
I have noticed a considerably loud hum and noise coming from the RH interconnect output
I have changed the interconnects and power lead
Unplugged my turntable and grounding wire but this makes no difference
And when I toggle between MM and MC settings the noise is not apparent on MM settings
Which is of no help as im using a Hana umami blue cart on the medium gain setting on the pre
This is all being fed into an Accuphase e380
I reconnected my Graham Slee and hey presto no noise so i know it isnt the cables or amplifier
Apart from this the phono pre sounds wonderful
Sorry you’re having a problem. I am not sure what RH interconnect is. Maybe I haven’t yet had enough coffee.
RH = right hand channel. Then again maybe not. My pour over is just finishing up, so it could very well mean something else.
Hi Paul
Really sorry to pester you on a Saturday I’m sure you must have thousands of emails from customers around the world
Can I send you a video of what is occurring
plaese via we transfer as the video file is too large to send via email I have already sent the retailer a shortened compressed version
I’m sure that this will be sorted out whether the retailer will just replace the Steller as I really enjoy the sound of it and it is a stunning piece of kit
Last question as my TT ( ProJect Xtension 10 ) would i benefit from balanced XLR out to Accuphase amp seeing as the inputs to the Steller are only Single Ended non Balanced RCA
Best Regards
Dave
Your Right
RH Right hand Channel RCA output
I will attribute that to the caffeine vapors.
