Paying it Forward......Gotta Get 'Em While Their Young....Budding Audiophile's That Is

So the LP12 setup is down for a while cause I’m doing some modifications to it.

A friend and & I are “paying it forward” to a friend of Abraham’s at work who just got into Vinyl.

Hey we all started off those those Cruddy BSR Turntables with the cheap ass little ceramic cartridges. Abe’s friend has a Sony Bluetooth PoS. Time up the Boy’s game.

He’s giving him the entry level Project turntable outfitted with an Ortofon Bronze MM worth more than the TT . I’ve also built him a dead quiet Moving Magnet Phono Preamp for him to keep. I built it out of parts I had in my “junk bin” (it’s the black box behind the TT.

He’s also getting a pair of Speaker stands and decent cables. All for free.

On loan are the Lucca Chesky LC-1 Speakers, and a pair of Orchard Audio LLC Starkrimson Monoblock Amplifers. If he like the Amps. He just has to pay Leo Ayzenshtat the cost of the modules (they are demos and I won’t sell them to profit off of).

What he’s not getting are the solid Silver cables that my friend in MA makes or the IsoAcoustics Oreo Blue feet :slightly_smiling_face:.

And if he likes the Speakers. He’ll order a fresh pair from Chesky Audio. All this stuff is long term loan since my friend Greg has a second pair of the Speakers in his rig.

It’s time to “Poison” a new Generation of “kids” out there🤣

It’s a bit “pimped” out at the moment !:money_mouth_face:

Inside the phono preamp I built from a circuit I found online. It’s literally called “The Very Simple Phono Stage”. All surface mount parts and scrap solid Silver wire from my workbench.

I can’t do this stuff anymore by eye. USB Microscope helps so much. For the curious OPA828 OP-Amps were samples from TI.
