I am probably placing the order tomorrow. I may go for 2 of them and vanity might make me wait for white versions.
Perfect match with your total white wonderful system!
I’d have 2 now if they were half the price.
A new DAC, preamp and regenerator are on my list before a 2nd one.
I just placed an order for 2 of the 214’s. Demo’s from Vintage King with a 30 day trial. The demo status knocked off $500 each for a total of $1000 in “savings”. I am selling all my bass and subtraps at a 50% discount to partially fund this transaction. Starting to sound like a teenage girl at the mall. Wait…there are no malls anymore…except the ones that @aangen walks in the winter.
Will arrive Friday. Looking forward to testing them out over Easter. Not sure how those in their 80s will like Tools “Chocolate Chip Trip” blasting at high volumes for testing their effectiveness.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on how they work for you.
Best minute and a half I had demoing speakers was when our host played Chocolate Chip Trip on a pair of Dali Epicore 11’s at what must of peaked at over 100dBs (big room). Huge sound-stage and the kick drum attack!.
Fantastic! Getting 2 AVAAs must be one of the rare truly game changing high end upgrades one can make. It’s likely like getting a new building/listening room…
AVAAs turns midfi to high end and high end to ultra high end
Received the first 214 today and the second one arrives tomorrow. I don’t have 2.4 wireless so I am in manual mode. I set it to the highest level in the front corner that collects the most bass. Both the tracks Inertia Creeps and the Disc Wars have moments that put the 214 in max overload mode. The bass is tighter. Will test the same songs tomorrow with the extra 214. Happy camper.
Note I will be tearing down the closet cube in the near future to create a symmetrical room and also reduce the bass collecting in the left corner
In your setup the 214 is a bargain!
So what are you selling?
Whole Life Insurance Policies.

It has been a while but loving the PSI gear. A new trick I learned by accident. I can place the C214 close to equipment by having a absorption panel between the rack or closet and the c214.
That is really cool!
I looked for them in the pictures you posted of your new room in another thread and didn’t see them, I thought you had taken them out.
My single C214, in a much smaller room, has worked very well also. Everyone who has sat in my listing chair can immediately tell the difference when I turn it off and then back on.
I have a C214 coming to my house end of next week. Hope it is up to my challenge. Thank you and Matt for your input.
Just sent @tony22 some sweeps I did yesterday. Not sure how to post them or fully understand them so I asked Tony to review and post his thoughts.
I did 4 different sweeps:
No C214 (with PZ)
C214 on +4.5db gain (with PZ)
C214 on +3db gain (with PZ)
C214 on 0db gain (with PZ)
I did not include +6db gain because at the highest setting the C214 rings at 700Hz in my room (very obviously, and REW shows it).
Hopefully Tony will post his findings.
