Recognize the initialism for the resistor color codes and boy there are some very un-PC versions of this (I’m 57 so very familiar with the worst one). I know up to “But Violet Gives Willingly”, but what is GSN if you can share without offending everyone.

Thanks, but how does this relate to resistor color codes? BBROYGBVGW = black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, gray, white.

Represents the resistor tolerance. I think gold, silver, none.

Gold = 5%, Silver = 10%, None = 20% IIRC. Precision resistors used numerical codes with exponents and would have tolerance printed on the part too.
