I am considering the new (or rebranded Zappiti) R_volution NAS for ripping my large DVD and Blu-ray collection. I like the idea of just popping in a disc and having it be ripped with meta data without additional steps.
There doesn’t seem to be much information out there about the R_volution NAS and I wanted to know if anyone on the forum has any experience with it in terms of functionality and reliability.
I would like to know the largest capacity hard drive it supports.
Is one of the R_volution players required for playing back the ripped content, or is it just recommended due to the interface?
Can ripped content be moved to a different NAS and still be accessed by a R_volution player? I am thinking about total capacity. That is, ripping to a smaller set of R_volution drives and then moving the ripped content to a larger capacity NAS drive.
I would appreciate hearing any information or experience with the R_volution hardware.
