I had the exact same Sony TV as in your picture. Unfortunately, it only lasted 3 or 4 years as the picture eventually looked like a blue and white stripe shirt. I called Sony and it would have costed too much to fix it, so I moved on.

Tom Thiel (Jim’s brother) is working on improving the Thiels by changes to crossover, dampening of front baffle, some internal modifications, etc.
