From what I’ve been able to tell, Tidal has replaced MQA files with hi res files. I haven’t noticed any that went back to 16/44.

This may be good news for some of us; no interest in debating MQA.

For me, it’s Good-bye mControlHD and Hello Tidal Connect on AirLens. The Tidal UI is strongly preferred.

According to Tidal, the MQA-to-FLAC migration will be completed in a month. Most of my Tidal playlists are now streaming FLAC.

Still looking forward to Qobuz Connect on AirLens for some artists.

I do not want to, in any way, start a debate on MQA so here’s a question:

Since Tidal’s MQA offering has less than 30 days remaining, will PS Audio support MQA in future gen products? Will it come down to whether or not the soon to be launched HDTracks/Lenbrook streaming service will gain traction?

As far as I know, PSA does not really support MQA file rendering now in its current line up. Given the trajectory of the format in the marketplace, I suspect its the end of the road for MQA support at PS Audio.

The Bridge II allowed for the full monty of “Origami”, but the AirLens only does the first unfold; which means it’s all about the DAC after that. Again, AFAIK, the DS MK II does not do any further MQA processing/unfolding.

I think about buying a new Steamer and a new DAC. I use Roon and listen 98% music from Tidal including MQA-files. Since I haven’t really found an answer online, I would like to ask you to answer the following question: Can I use the combination of the new AirLens Streamer (what is capable of MQA according to the manual) and Direct Stream DAC II to listen to MQA songs in the full resolution (all unfolds)? Sorry for my bad English…

I added Tidal to my roon account, already subscribed to Qobuz. Now I subscribe to both.

Aside from a year with Qobuz, I’ve been primarily a TIDAL subscriber since they launched.

However, MQA content will be available again soon via Lenbrook’s new service.
