Which particular widget did you use to convert Ethernet signal to fiber and what does fiber “plug into”? Just trying to get a handle in signal path for future reference, possible upgrade…

You need two of these unless you have a fiber compatible switch (dirty side) or a renderer with optical input on the “clean” side to your DAC. Use a very short ether cable out to renderer, to minimize intro of new noise into the scrubbed audio path.

I thought you were going Ethernet to I2S “directly” some how. I misunderstood. I have TP link MC’s in my signal path already. Thanks anyway.
