Makes sense in a Pink Floyd kinda way. Thanks.
Qobuz. CD. Recently posted by @Dirk; an interesting addition to his normal morning fare. Predominantly Italian Early Baroque. The flute which lurked decorously in the early tracks became more assertive as the album progressed. Despite this it was an enjoyable listen with a good, crisp sound.
You either like yodeling or not. I read that Howlin Wolf patterned his howl based upon Jimmie Rodgers. I like that story.
Qobuz. CD. I looked for other albums on Qobuz by Ensemble Matis, and found only one; suites by Cheron, a composer new to me. Unfortunately the flute was just too aggressive. I found another album of the same music where the flute was less shrill. These are stately and straightforward, but very attractive, late Baroque pieces. I enjoyed them. Those less sensitive to flute might well enjoy them even more. The ensemble features Hille Perl on viola da gamba.
