After reading more about the release I am inclined to agree with you. The reduction in reverb was noticeable, albeit compared to a 50 year old memory of how the tracks sounded! I also read that they had enhanced the bass.

New on Qobuz. CD. Early Classical. Light, lively and varied music. Sound and execution both good. These are not master-works but they were very enjoyable listening.
