Thanks, but it looks a tad advanced and high tech for me.
Pianosaurus - Groovy Neighborhood
That beautiful turntable immediately brought to mind Pianosaurus - a one-off band local denizen, Peter Hosapple (the dBs, REM) put together back in the 1980s which only played toy instruments. Gimmick? you’re damn straight - but the songs are still quite good
Nah…you should pick one of these babies up on E-bay and take some pictures of some those albums you keep referencing here, with actual records place carefully and lovingly upon the platter.
But fair warning, these systems are like gateway drugs. Before you know it, the Roon/Tidal, GE-PlaySkool edition record player just isn’t good enough anymore and you will be looking for something to provide a more impactful, musical high.
Soon enough, you will be spending a disproportionate amount of your disposable income trying to make that spinny thing sound better. Once your hooked…
Point taken. I will take my time and do due diligence.
I like that you post the rig the jacket and the vinyl, by the way.
Is that a PrimaLuna “cage” lying there next to the TT? What kind of PL gear are you running with?
Apologies if the whole rig has been posted before…
Cheers.
Hiya
It’s a PrimaLuna Evolution 100 Integrated, and you’re right, that’s the cage cover sitting along side, really need to find a home for it!
I think you have invested in one of the wonders of our hobby (in the bang-for-the-buck category), from what I have read about their products.
Did you get taller tubes or something, or do you just prefer to drive with the top down?
Enjoy.
I was so lucky to get this, it’s an amazing amp, although I have no grounds for comparison.
But I’ve done a little tube rolling trying out some new sets and also a couple of failures, so have left the cage off.
I’m next going to upgrade to some KT120’s which are oversized for the cage anyway.
