badly - just putting up the camp bed downstairs again, though we’ve had plenty of cloud and rain the last weeks but it’s turned into lava-land again last couple of days. ugh. morning seems to be coolest
25.C just now (8:20pm), but it will drop off a few degrees when it turns dark. Must be hellish down your end of track that’s for sure. At least we get a decent breeze from the sea which helps a lot and with us being further North.
Feel for you guys. It’s certainly uncomfortable for the UK, if people had told me to expect these temps even a couple of years ago I would have called them insane.
Doesn’t help that much of the UK housing stock is ill suited to hot weather. Or cold weather.
A lot of it is jerry-built too (jerry built - Google Search).
Managing air flow through this house seems to be the key, but the ceilings upstairs re-radiate heat all night.
I’m, not complaining too much though - sleeping in the back room means going to sleep with music playing - always a treat
Agree! Every year it gets hotter, starts earlier in the year and lasts longer, I am contemplating putting in Air-Con! This would never have been a consideration a few years ago. Cooling fans only succeed in pushing hot air throughout the house.. Where in the UK are you located?
my son bought an air con unit for his room with his first wages. just a portable unit but helps him sleep.
i believe there are some self fit air con systems available now
I might climb on the roof of Morrisons and unbolt a couple of units…but keep it to yourself!!
I’ll be checking the local papers in your neck of the woods - I can see the local court report now
