Qobuz. CD. Posted by @Dirk and, since I didn’t recognise it, I listened to it. It turns out that I had posted it myself a couple of years ago and had forgotten about it completely. Pleasant enough, but with a sound that seemed to come from a pair of tiny speakers rather than my ‘respectable’ Harbeths and sub. I am ashamed to say that my attention soon wandered. I think it can be safely said that it is still not a memorable album :frowning:

Shame - the players look so intense in that cover too, although I know it’s fake - no one plays music outdoors in England: it’s always raining

If something catches my eye / ear I will copy and paste the thumbnail review and the album cover.

Attached is your review when you posted the album two years ago… “CD. Late Baroque by lesser-known composers, originally recorded in 1974. Use of oboe less common at that time. Gramophone gave the album a detailed and enthusiastic review. To me it sounds like Handel, which is no bad thing.”

At the time why didn’t you say something along the lines of ‘don’t touch this album with a 10ft bargepole’ :grinning: and I wouldn’t have bought it. After all - you’re the resident Baroque deity! :+1:
