I must have a half dozen versions of Le Quattro Stagioni and while this one with Joshua Bell is fine, my favorite is still the Archiv recording of The English Concert under Trevor Pinnock with Simon Standage.
I can almost hear @chrisj1948 saying “tsk, tsk, more screechy violins.” ![]()

@dcm getting any rain on your side of the mountains
I’m not sure I am equipped with the correct vocabulary to describe the rain we have gotten today. Trees are uprooting, lots of flash-floods, and power outages. However, earlier this morning I did see a search-and rescue team hanging out hoping not to go to work and they were from somewhere in TN - I didn’t recognize the town name and now I’ve forgotten it.
Lots of clouds, no rain yet. Looks like the mountains are doing a good job in keeping the weather over in your neck of the woods.

I think there is also a cold front rolling in this way - I was hoping it would push Debby more eastward but no such luck, it came right on top of us. I’m just glad there weren’t any big winds to speak of
I was hoping to spin Eddie Henderson Realization on Capricorn records, basically the players from Herbie Hancock’s Mwandishi, but I can’t seem to locate my copy. The above will suffice.

This 85th sounds awesome.

By no means the VU’s finest moment, but supposely a document of Lou Reed’s exit. By no means essential as 1969 was. Live at Max’s Kansas City inspired by a recent post of an article from The Guardian describing the heyday, or should I say debauchery, of Max’s Kansas City.
This isthe preferred Live VU.
