Impressive album, I’m very glad ol’ Niel is still creating.
Just had some lovely NOS GE Military Stock 12AU7WA / 6189W which were the longer life Miltary Grade alternatives to their standard 12AU7’s from March 1964 (as printed on the box)
There was a review of them from Positive Feedback in 2020:
“In addition to excellent definition, the GE 6189 tubes were the quietest 12AU7 types in the world. Nothing I had in stock, currently produced or NOS, was as stunningly quiet as the GE. It was not even close. With the quiet came added definition, layering, blacker background, and greater realism.”
Really looking forward to these, still running the stock PrimaLuna 12AU7’s.

Just discovered this band thanks to Analog Planet. So enamored we’re going to see them in DC mid July. Should be fun.
Just back from a local protest event and surprisingly the rain (though forecast) went away and there were about 700 persons . . . really felt good to be in the midst of “like minds.” There were two instances of unsuccessful “agitation.” A great event.
Re-listening to this one as it was still in the transport and . . . it’s really good.
