A favorite that I have not played in too long. . .
Monday Michiru “Don’t Disturb this Groove” Grand Gallery cd
Kind of typical ECM doodling (which can become tiring), but Marcin Wasilewski is stellar on this album and, on my system, is almost a demo disc.
Bob Dylan’s April 4, 2014 show at Zepp DiverCity in Tokyo has been described as his “lost live album,” “as good as any live Dylan release” and “the best-sounding document of this era,” with an “excellent, professional-sounding mix.”
I might prefer the performance documented on MTV Unplugged, but the price – free – is right on this ROIO (recording of independent origin), and the sound quality is spectacular.
A Bert van der Wolf recordings and the clarity of orchestral detail is almost like a dissection of the parts.
I saw Wittengstein and thought about college classes in symbolic logic. His blue and brown books would give me headaches. Not his fault, just my own limitations.
A different Wittengstein?
“[Ludwig] Wittgenstein was a beery swine who was just as schloshed as Schlegel.”
Same Wittengstein.
