Other than Ebay (which I distrust for possible counterfeits), where can I purchase these cables? The only place I could find in the US is Madisound, but they’re out of stock on 1 meter lengths.
Thanks in advance!

Unless you are running a data center (in which case you know the answer) cat 6 is more than you need for home use.
Let’s pretend you don’t run a data center but you still do want this cable anyway. It looks like Madisound does currently have 1M lengths in stock for $50. Just sayin’. ![]()
Not sure why you would use ISTP anymore.
It was designed DECADES ago to brute force bandwidth using ISTP pairs. This forces the use of foamed dielectric to offset the attenuation a close shield causes, and it also is a negative on Return Loss, RL, performance as the shield is not geometrically the same distance away from the wires (wrinkles). The use of larger AWG signal wires is also required to offset the RL and attenuation caused by the shield. But, add enough copper and fragile eay to distort 85% air foam dielectric and a good ACR can be reached. The attenuation to cross talk is achieved with brute force shielding and larger AWG signal wires back in the day. It works, but is a hammer kind of approach today and $$$. Moves and adds are used ISTP, but new networks usually don’t use ISTP, and for good reasons. A modern UTP design is better.
Add that you need PROPER connectors that retain the ISTP shield intergrity (no gaps to cause a HUGE impedane / RL spike) all the way through, like a terra connector and NOT the RJ varients that don’t carry the shield around each pair separately all the way through. You device isn’t equipped to use the right connector with ISTP using an RJ socket. RJ’s are OVERALL shield capable but not designed to be INDIVIDUALLY shield capable. Also, to use FTP (overall shiled) you need to use different RJ jacks that are shielded. Most are UTP on our devices.
Use a quality UTP CAT6 cable with extended BW to 625 MHz is far, far more reliable and durable with modern tech that negates the need for the shield. And, it PROPERLY uses the RJ on the cable and your device so the performance isn’t compromised. Better, the cable doesn’t get worse and worse with handling like ISTP’s fragile foam dielectric and crinkling shield. Physics is as physics does.
You can use a 6A cable, but it isn’t important in home use as there are no bundles of cables to leverage the external cable to cable alien cross talk requirement. 6A has worse internal electricals to ADD the external ANEXT requirement. You rob Peter to pay Paul as the saying goes. Buy what you actually use.
Best, Galen
Supra Jenving is a Swedish brand. Go to Swedens largest online it-retailer Dustin (.se) and purchase.
It a large trustworthy company that do not charge much extra. The price willl be low. Their cables are sold as shielded it-cables to an it price, not a hifi price.
You can use a credit card and get delivery via DHL, UPS or post
I purchase products from Dustin many times a year and they are flawless. Happy customer since 20 years time
Great advice! I’ve purchased direct from them in the past. One thing to look out for is that shipping has been a PITA since those tariff taxes on the American people have been enacted. Many countries (I know in particular Finland but IDK about Sweden) have ceased shipping to US customers due to the hassle of returned shipments, destroyed shipment due to unpaid / uncollected tariffs. UPS has had an ugly track record of destroying shipments without even giving the customer a chance to pay the tariff.
Just check with Dustin.se before purchasing.
Italy Pist has stopped (for the time being) shipments to the U.S. Anyone wanting to get anything from Italy to U.S. will have to use DHL or similar.
