Oh great. More brain cells that can be decommissioned.
Nice! Did Luca get you hooked up with Network Acoustics?
Not a question to me but yes I did! He read my reviews and asked me an opinion, being in Australia shipment and taxes costs were a factor to be considered before the final decision.
Yep it was on my list and his review just moved it up the list ![]()
Iām only skeptical about the Muon Pro Streaming cable, didnāt like it before and also recently (using the Tempus) I prefer STEALTH and Pink Faun combo.
Other members like it a lot.
Nice assistance on that Luca. The Muon Pro has served well in my system. I thought it might be a āone and doneā purchase, but you have opened a side tunnel on this rabbit hole.
The replacement of the Ethernet cable.
Back down the hoke again.
Did the tuning rings make any difference on the Stealth Ultra cable? There is a considerable cost difference with, and without, that feature. The Sakraās have drained my account.
The cable can be returned. I also have a s/hand pink faun coming thru which actually happened before your reviewā¦
I love love love the MUON Pro cable! Yes I do! As I cannot hear any difference between any ethernet cable I am fine.
Thanks, Greg. Yes Ethernet cables are able to make a difference in my system, to my ears. As for Pink Faun Interlink, the naturalness of voices most of all. As for STEALTH, as usual, the general improvement (you know what I mean).
To be really honest, donāt expect from STEALTH Ethernet or USB cables the same difference as the Sakra, absolutely not! And not even the improvement that their power cords can bring, absolutely not! At a lesser degree the attributes are all present, at a lesser degree I repeat!
Same for the tunable collar. I tried with the power cords and it works focusing the image, exactly like a camera lens. Not a night and day difference, but you notice it. With Ethernet and USB cables I havenāt yet spent time on this fine tuning settings, to be honest they work fine as they are.
I usually keep the collar at one end on the cable (from the source side of the path), thatās my rule but donāt ask me why⦠psychoacoustic!
You are lucky!
What are you using it with? I tried @straightwireās on my Auralic Aries G2 it sounded better but it didnāt make me feel like I had to have it right away. I have to try it on the Grimm Iām almost positive the Mion pro will be much more substantial on that. Iāve been told that it does.
When I hooked the MUON Pro up the the MU1 it took awhile to get used to. The black level went to a new place I had never been. For digital mind you. Stone tablets still rule!
Auralic Aries g2.2
Running in has commenced currently sitting between two of my ubiquiti switches ā¦
Not even slotting into the system for a couple of days
Itās really good out of the box. And it isnāt challenging to hear it improve day after day. It is one extremely nice thing to have.
I should consider the Tempus. Three guys in my Audio Anonymous group have Covid right now. I havenāt been to a meeting in weeks. My sponsor flew to NYC to look at some very large speakers. Sigh. This hobby!
I love you have an audio anonymous group ⦠I want to know who has the power zone after speaking to Paul Hefner and hearing in Munich it does have me thinking ā¦
issue will be USA plugs on a 240v system not that this was an issue for the PS audio p20
Keep in mind it is only a paper weight until you amass many RTR tapes at $500 a pop.
Recently purchased these [Iconoclast Gen 2 4x4 UPOCC XLRs] from a fellow forum denizen. Should be in hand some time next week.
Will pair with a set of Iconoclast Gen 1 XLR cables⦠Need to figure out which set should go from the Pre-amp to the Amps and which set should go from the DAC to the Pre-ampā¦
I would love to hear suggestions from those that might have owned, or currently own, both makes and models of XLR interconnects.
[Yes, I know I can (and will) swap them around to see what seems to sound best.]
