We got to hear him play several times because of his close relationship with our ISO (he held a teaching post down the road at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music). Huge talent, and a very personable presence on stage and with his fans.

I just saw your post about André Watts passing away, and I wanted to reach out and say how sorry I am. It’s always so sad when we lose someone as talented and influential as André. He was truly a legend in the classical music world, especially with his amazing piano skills. It’s a real loss for all of us music lovers. Rest in peace, André Watts. Oh, btw, does anybody have a pic of his Footstone? Just curious.
