Any update to bridge-2?

B2 is much more robust when it comes to networking and very few issues of that type have been reported by beta testers. That said, it’s not going to work perfectly all the time for everyone. I have used various other network streamers in my secondary systems and they all occasionally have glitches. In my case, Bridge 1 was mostly quite reliable used with my Mac Mini but I switched to Foobar2000 on a PC so I could stream gapless to the Bridge, and also used the Mini directly connected by USB because it was more convenient. I’m now just using B2 with the Mini and haven’t had significant connection issues. Your mileage may vary, of course. Hopefully distributors and dealers outside the US will offer a trade-in to Bridge 1 users as in the US.

Okay, glad to hear that. The unreliabilty was also caused by eLyric, I guess. Often the program just froze and I was almost never able to play several songs in a row. Would be good to have better playback software there as well…

I haven’t used eLyric (server application or control app) in ages and it’s no longer supported. It will also not be replaced by PSA. I use either JRiver Media Center or minimserver, both of which have Mac versions. Mostly I use JRMC but that’s mainly because I like the JRemote control app, which only works with JRMC.

It's 'very' probable that issues associated with Bridge1 are in fact being caused by other areas in the server - and NOT the Bridge itself. Like Steve, since I moved to JRiver (and I also had success with Minimserver) I rarely have issues. Since updating my network (router, modem) I have had even fewer issues.

Don't use elyric. Use JRMC & JRemote. Works OK with BI. I cant wait to try out BII. I hope I am not disappointed.
