Photos and videos with sound are inspiring.
Fascinating. Always loved rocketry. Used to build and launch Estes rockets and the day Apollo was launched one of our horses was borne, he was named Apollo!
I’m really glad those two astronauts will be coming home after such an unforeseen extended stay. I can only imagine how their families will be feeling once they touch down.
I had forgotten all about my Estes rocket days. My very first model was the Mercury rocket that flew John Glenn. It was a beauty. I had my father drive me to Lafayette Electronics store to buy the switches and lights in order to build my “control panel”. Nice memories.
I’m amazed at how many people I’ve talked to who are completely unaware of this.
Glad that additional supplies were delivered to the ISS to sustain them for this long.
Lucky that “we” have options with Space X. Boeing’s timeline is years.
Wishing them a safe return. They are on schedule to splash down at 17:57 EST
The news have decided not to celebrate human achievement and focus on rehashing their favorite political stories.

Live video!
The folks who I know who are most proud of their goodness are loudly proud of those who they hate.
Cleared the burn and about to drop chutes!
The broadcast of the landing is on abc, cbs & nbc on tv
Amazing. And it knocks me out seeing the booster landing on the center of the X or being caught by the arms. Just incredible
Yup, we are living in science fiction times. Reusable capsules, reusable rockets landing vertically, …
Absolutely brilliant. I was amazed that all four astronauts seemed to be able to stand almost unaided. We got it on our TV here in the UK, no problem.
I caught the live stream.
Rescue?
Silly man
I wonder if there’s ever been an audiophile astronaut on the ISS?
For example, someone who took some high end IEMs and a dongle DAC (anything else would be a weight issue).
Over the last several days I saw the launch, the docking and the splashdown live on X. The video and coverage provided by SpaceX and NASA was excellent. Reminded me of being a kid again watching the Apollo events.
I try
