I am new here. I am going to purchase a PS Audio Stellar 300 amplifier and use the preamp section of an Arcam FMJ A38 integrated amplifier. Is this a good combination? I have read that the preamp section of the Arcam is very good compared the amplifier section.

No. Just over all sound quality.
Something like this could be interesting. This one doesn’t include a remote control. Not sure if remotes are available for purchasing from Levinson, or if a newer remote for the 523 preamp would work on the 383 integrated, but this integrated could be a nice solution.
