Does anyone know of this place? My wife came across it the other day. Wondering if their stuff is actually good for a listening room or its really just artwork. Something about plastic just does not sound right to me. No pun intended.
They look cool but I wonder about their effectiveness especially considering results/area covered vs designs based on calculations or proven methods (quadratic, absorbent materials, etc).
I went with Seven Audio from Poland as recommended by another user here. @adifferentpaul visited my listening room he might be able to comment on the effectiveness
I looked over their website and couldn’t find any specific measurements verifying their efficacy, which is a turnoff for me. Their product lines definitely seem more tailored for office and “lifestyle” applications vs. serious broad band acoustic treatment. One can’t repeal the laws of physics and there’s only so much effectiveness to be had from material so thin. I imagine their effectiveness is on the order of 1"-2" panels from Gik, Acoustimac, and other similar panels. No reason to be concerned about the use of recycled plastic fibers though, there’s more than one material that accomplishes acoustic absorption. Vicoustic uses polyethylene and wool fibers for their products. You might check them out. They have attractive products and they actually publish specs for the effectiveness of their products. https://vicoustic.com/
