I have a glass one. But just cuz its cool looking.
The SCM20 Pro isn’t that much physically larger than your SCM11 @brett66. Just a few inches in each dimension. If you were mounting them on stands that difference is no functional difference at all. The only significant delta was in the price due to the higher spec SL tweeter and mid-bass driver.
Yeah, that one of the glass insulators. Those are fairly collectible because they are so beautiful. But you can’t lay a cable over the top easily.
And this is a “Mickey mouse” insulator as he called them.
Dad used to make meter lamps as well from trashed 120v electrical meters. Can’t find those anymore.
He did love that song. I think all the linemen did. And their wives as well.

Those “beehive” ones, like the one in the center, are often considered collectible. I think they really are beautiful, but then I may be biased.
That’s probably why I’ve kept and enjoyed it for 35 years. My Dad gave it to me with his things when he passed. He never worked the line but knew a lot of guys and gals that did.
You’d love it whether collectible or not. Things from dads are priceless.

When I was a kid we used to shoot those off the abandoned power poles with a .22 rifle. Seems dumb now but was cool then.
Have that on now, great version of Wichita Lineman for sure, great album in general.
Did many of the insulators break? It’s pretty tough glass and I could imagine the bullet ricochet off.
I grew up with my Granddads slide-action Winchester kids model .22 LR. All my earning went to boxes of ammo. Living on 10 acres surrounded by thousands there was lots of ‘hunting’ and target practice.

I honestly don’t remember. I’ll say that I did 
I had a bolt action.22 first then later a .22 / .410 over and under. After that I bought a Ruger 10/22 with a 3 to 9 Leopold ( I think) scope. That was an awesome piece. My son has it now.
We lived on 20 acres in farm county so there was always someone to go hunting or target practicing with.
