I have two simple questions:

  1. Why does almost no manufacturer publish the current delivery capability of their amps?
  2. What are the current delivery capabilities of the BHK250 and the BHK 300s?

You can calculate it with watts if you know the speaker load. 300W into 8 ohms needs 49 V at 6.1 A (P= I^2R)

On the above linked Class D Wyred4Sound amps, the lower powered STI-500 outputs the same 30a current as the higher power STI-1000.

Does current really matter?
