BHK Preamp discussion regarding placement of voltage jumpers

Call you later, James.
So hereon, it’s “Step 86, solder board, Step 87, bend down cap”…?
Because I like you guys so much, there is no charge for my service, identifying the problem.
Talk amongst yourselves.

If they were soldered-in for reasons given then why is the two boards in my brand-new preamp a push fit ?

ps----might be a good idea to have Geraldine at your board supplier, resume shmooshing the caps down to a vertical position.

Thanks Ron. Dirk, can’t say for sure. Seems to be something we implemented very recently.

The legs on the capacitor will break off if they are bent through 90 degrees with those caps straight on to the board. The flat fit cap legs will be longer to facilitate that type of attachment.

OK, thanks Dirk.
Let’s not bother Geraldine then.

Surely not, you must know why ? You’re the voice of the company. Font of all knowledge. A Sensei, all others at PSA bow to you!

Damn, you’re right. I did see Paul kneel earlier when I walked by. I just assumed he was tying his shoe.
