I got that one. Sadly it came with Tennis Elbow as a bonus.
It’d be fun having the same amp, power regenerator speakers, preamp that everything was voiced to. You have a unique experience t be in the creator’s shoes.
One would think so, but, I think you would find that Bascom, Chris, Ted and Darren use PSA system compatibility more as a verification of a design or component than an end in itself. For example, Ted says he can lower the noise floor doing such and such, and can assume better sound as a byproduct. No system verification necessary. The closest thing that PSA does to voicing that I know of is when Ted gave them a batch of software to chose for the new mountain.
The crossover parts selection in theory wouldn’t matter but most amp specifications for frequencies response are plus or minus a fraction of dB. But if speaker and amp dipped or peaked same frequency the adjustment would be a positive for that amp speaker combo. The values of crossovers are always dialed in and component changes in amps are also selected by part types and value. Both Paul and Darren have talked about such swaps totally changing sound characteristics.
