Does anyone knows if there is another solution equivalent to the vault 2i

this unit rip and store your music in wave And transfer it after that in flac or stay in wav?

Easy simple And convenient!

Is there something else on the market that is better than that? Sort of all in one solution?

I know computer and program for ripping I have try many, But there’s always a bug!

So I was wondering if there’s option when you want to rip Trouble less your CD?

There is iTunes for Windows but from the test I did it worked better on 48khz 24bits, And since the beginning it always been that!

On some of my old machine it’s always that it showed!

And when you play them 44khz 24 bit it sound a doll lifeless

It seems the magic and keeping the magic for Apple is doing sort of trick of the 48, Without showing it

Anyway is there an alternative?

so far many storage solution, Not many are in one ripping CD solution

If my disk is all scratch and I use exact copy when I have a scratch disc copy?

I asked everyone I know how they rip and With what the rip many of them use iTunes; rovio;

In my time when I study computer garbage and garbage out, So if my ripping solution is not perfect do I lost my time?

Since I learned all streaming services reformat album for cohesion, Dynamics And loudness

It’s fun to have access to a huge catalogue but if the quality of the recording is not there do I lost my time?

I just fired up my old carousel with 400 CD in it push play and many city sound better than the Streaming version version?

I have a vault 2i. Other than no SACD capability I like it a lot but I don’t rely on its internal DAC. I’m not aware of anything like it. I have an Eversolo DMP A8 that I like nearly as much for streaming. If I were to rip all my CD’s again I’d plug an SACD drive into the A8 and rip to a removable SSD.

Never experienced any bugs when ripping CDs on my MacBook Air to my NAS using JRiver Media Center. Meta data copies intact as well. Have ripped hundreds in Hi Res FLAC with no issues. This is with the latest OS and ripping s/w which runs on Apple silicon.

Purchase a MacBook

Purchase J River

Proceed in wave or flac

Purchaser SSD drive Use it as a backup

Proceed!

It’s sort of all in one solution

Push play on the remote and listen

you made a statement that computer - based rippers always have bugs - in my experience this is not the case - that was my point

In terms of the one box solution there is a British company with which I have no experience…

there is also this software which is well-regarded

my statement is:

I want a one stop shop ripping and playing like a jukebox or CD carousel

Your store album and you listen new album by entity randomly or one after in order

None of this exist except old iTunes

For strange reason random playing is random songs only available

So instead of having 4000 album playing randomly you have 44,000 Song playing randomly (for me it’s a mess And unacceptable)I’m sor

This is a mess when you listen classical music or progressive music that one track slipped to the other to create a Masterpiece!

Spotify; Tidal; Deezer; Blue node; innuos; wmp; etc. Only do random song music

in iTunes music you have the choice of randomly playing Album or playing song

You could iTunes match and store all your Album and keep a copy on the cloud without any modification.

Apple Music, When you use it it collect information of your database erase your tag and replace by his, did the same with artcover, re format your music, loudness it, So you end up with a mess up database but it is cohesive for listening

I just want a simple device that replace my computer has a SPdif output, coax output analog output, and i2s output

No dac required, Just if possible on the device: a ripping; Push play; and a “soup du jour(random album)” Button. it have a HDMI output so I could hook one of old monitor on it to see the art cover of the album!

with or without streaming Integration for major streaming services

none of that exist only iTunes does that and you have to get an old Mac mini that have an IR in, it so you manage it with a simple Remote

Nothing like that exist anymore worst when you push “Play my song” you always end up with pop song that have absolutely nothing in common with your music

The only one so far that respect that is Amazon Music with my soundtrack!

But if your grandkid are at home and listen some Taylor Swift on your system on Amazon Music then your database is messed up for good! also good Amazon Music could integrate your music in your profile, so you will be able to listen to it.

I want:

Just a simple machine playing randomly the integrity of my Album. it play only the music she got on her hard drives!

anyway forget that I am currently learning RS 232 and looking for a fifth carousel so I will integrate the five together and push random play Album and it will automatically pick one of my CD and play it

Also found an old Mac mini that work with iTunes not music and I have all that function

I will rip in the wave with iTunes and have independent that always work with a simple Remote from Apple case close
