Bridge II and software

BubbleUPnP - as noted above rock-solid reliable. OK Roon gives you all sorts of goodies to read while you listen but for me they would get in the way of enjoying the music.

Roon does so much more than simply giving you goodies to read. New music discovery is probably the function I like the most for example.

BubbleUPnP doesn’t look to be working with Mac… which is the only thing I have. I really need something that is easy to use with Mac and iPad.

Have you tried installing the iPad app for Roon yet? It works great!

Yes. The Roon app is pretty sweet. Just struggling to pay that much for software…

Yeah, I get that - I just went with the one year plan for now, comes out to less than 35 cents a day. Just the way it organizes all of the music & playlists is well worth it for me.

I’ll probably go down this road as well - will give me time to see how the landscape changes over the next 12 months with Amazon potentially disrupting the hi-res streaming market.

Yes, as a Mac-only household I had the same problem, however after trying Mac control apps and being dissatisfied I took a gamble and bought an Android tablet (<£100) so I could use BubbleUPnP app after I’d read reviews. Not looked back since.
Enjoy the music!

upsampling to dsd…control of attenuator so you don’t have either -20 or -0db…if you want on a particular track you can use -8 attenuation, or -17.
