Fascinating! Thank you for sharing this. I say bring back the listening stall! Not sure about this but I think they have something similar to those at the Tower Records in Japan.

I seem to remember back in the day they would have cd listening posts. But you were limited to what you could listen as it would be the new releases of that week.

I saw that program when it was first broadcast, although at age 11 it was well past my official bedtime. Strangely enough it was the images of enthusiasts gazing through the window which really resonated. Thanks for posting this.
