In searching for a used one I see 2 different looking transports. They both are called the same thing. One has a screen like the DS DAC MKl and the other has a small screen like the DS DAC MKll. What is the difference between them?
The larger screen was for the original PW transport as well as the DMP. The smaller screen was for the PST. The PW does not play SACD’s while the DMP and PST plays SACD’s if connected to the DS Mk1 or DS Mk2.
Thanks. What is a DMP?
It was the successor to the PW. Some DMP’s had functionality problems, mine worked with almost none. Still I would avoid it. The PST is well beyond the DMP sonically with no operational glitches. If you find a PST in your price go for it.
