After I drop down on of my favorite vinyl in on the floor dust!
I was changing my record side, but mat stick/glue to the record and when I try to unstick it, the mat was going to crash needle and trying to avoid that, I drop the record…!
So I decided to needle drop my record, at least try as I listen them, so I will have a copy and could listen them in the car or on land!
So far, I spotted the NAD (new audio dimension) PP4, it come with the software and you could adjust the output, it also have a line in, so my vintage tape non loudness, could be transfer to!!
I am searching for a simple solution

Ps I know, I am old school, but I found that sounding better and with some old Jazz disappearing from streaming or redone badly, I prefer doing that! so my kid will have the trouble discarding it, when I’m gone!
No longer made, but findable, is the PS Audio NuWave Phono Converter which can be used to make “needle drops.” I have one (use it as a phono preamp) — great component.
yup, but about a year, that I am searching for one, from recommandable sources! the one I saw on Ebay, we’re not in so good shape!
that puzzle me how do you beat up an HiFi phono to the point, we’re part’s unsolder?
I understand a few years ago when north alberta wood burn, two or three month after they were udge offering for HiFi that seems beat-up, they were the one that survive the fire!
Same happen when New Orleans was flooded, a lot sink and survive HiFi.
I think, I will go for PP4 until, I find better but must test-it before going all in!
Found this one yesterday. Another one this week was listed on USAudioMart but is gone now. They come up from time to time. I have one and am just getting it ready to record some rare vinyl. THere is a post here somewhere depicting how to setup the NuWave to get superb recordings. I think it is one of the better A to D converters for vinyl.

Also, buying USA/Canada, not an easy task: money transfer; custom; taxes and shipping! and often seller prefer local sale!

If I understand your question, you have digitized your vinyl. Now you need a phono preamp.
If that’s correct, I suggest the Waxwing digital phono stage. It’s inexpensive, has a zillion functions in it’s chip and friends who are digital guys seem to like it. It even has a clicks and pops reducer for vinyl playback that works much like a Sugarcube.
nope, I want to digitalyse, never done it, want something simple plug and play and simple editing track and maybe not, since I always listen my album entirely, sometimes I withdraw one song or two when turn it to flac (exemple there a scrary song on synchronicity that anoy me, so i don’t rip it)
in the car since there no CD player, I listen those ripping, but lately, I drop the lp’s not the needle, by misandle the mat! So a safe copy of my precious would be a good option!
if there is more than 2 two, that I don’t like, I drop it to friend, thrift store, etc!
just drop a pile of Miles Davis to thrift store neffeti etc. and the guy was to lousy to dig and sort them, he just put the box outside for free pick to customer!

So what i kept is top rate for my taste, and want to secure them with a copy! when I listen them!
a lazy way, to achieve a safe copy of my music with my sound I enjoy!
I use to do sound recording in bar for band to help them promote them with a CD, but I don’t want to go picky that way!
the NAD PP4 got a USB out and vinyl software included! plug and play! in the old macmini!
I want my click and pop, made them myself and it’s part of the joy of listening my old record, it is my memory! and souvenir! and you loose to much by removing them, you sort of loudness it!
if click and pop was a problem, my lp’s would be sold from a long time! and the deeper you go in the groove with the needle, the less impact they have!
Also a groove and a needle, it’s like a car on a race track! if you see a small rock on the road a 300mph, it’s gonna be there forever in the track when you will hit it! same a a groove and a record!
