I’m reading this thread with some interest, more so the inputs & their various pro’s & con’s as I want to know which input is supposed the be the best or is there one?
I ask this as when I 1st received my DSJ I didn’t have a wired home network so I used my Aurelic Aries Mini (internal SSD) + Aurelic LPSU + REGEN + LPSU into the USB input & was a very happy camper…It then transpired I has an issue with the Bridge II & my unit was swapped out.
I’m now listen via the Bridge II & I’m not sure it’s as dynamic as via the USB input but I’ve been assured by the distributer the sound via the Bridge II (Roon) is far superior & I’m not sure I’m hearing this?
My unit only has about 40 hours on it so maybe the Bridge II takes longer to break in? Also, my connection to the bridge II is via a cheap Cat5 cable & not via my Optical Media Converter as I can’t get the thing to work whereas, my Aries Mini has been optimsised with LPSU’s, REGEN & high-end USB cables (Elijah).
