Thanks for chiming in, Ted. How about 128 vs 256? Is this approaching the region/area of “hard to tell the difference?”
Somewhere in there as the frequency goes up the jitter adds more noise than the extra S/N in the audio lower it. I’m convinced that DSD256 vs. DSD512 is personal preference and that tho they may be different they are probably equally correct. Exactly where the optimum is, I don’t know, I’m getting value from doing DSD256 internally over DSD128 and people can here that difference, but it’s not huge.
