The Matrix SPDIF 2? It’s only a DDC. What good would it have an Ethernet input be?
Maybe I’m being too simplistic, but if it can take better than DSD64 in on USB and put the same out on the I2S, then why couldn’t the same be done with an Ethernet input?
I personally don´t think that beyond 24-96 or DSD 64 there is much difference. But there is definitely an advantage over USB and ethernet for me. That´s why the Mano Ultra sounds much better for me.
You are. The Matrix SPDIF 2 is just a DDC (Digital to Digital Converter). It is not a streamer or an endpoint. It knows nothing about network protocols or streaming protocols.
